Bangladesh urges international community to find solution to Rohingya crisis

UncategorizedBangladesh urges international community to find solution to Rohingya crisis

Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Thursday called upon the international community to urgently find solution to Rohingya crisis.

On the occasion of inaugration ceremony of the 18th East Asia Summit at Jakarta Indonesia, Bangladesh President said that it is the collective responsibility of the international community to find a durable solution to the Rohingya Crisis.

He pressed to commence safe, voluntary and sustainable repatriation of Rohingya living in Bangladesh as shortage of humanitarian support may put the entire region at risk.

He said that Bangladesh sheltered 1.2 million forcibly displaced Rohingya people from Myanmar on humanitarian ground.
But now, passing with time,  international support is reducing and there is no solution in sight whereas Bangladesh is pushed to the limits, said the Bangladesh President.
