BJP neta Sujit Das Choudhury was offloaded from his flight due to unruly behaviour during Take-Off At Silchar Airport.

Sujit Das refused to switch off his smartphone despite repeated requests and instead retaliated with “Flight Ke Saath Air Hostess Ko Bhi Kharid Lunga”.  Ten of his people were also offloaded.

“BJP Leader Removed from Kolkata-Bound Flight at Silchar Airport for Disruptive Conduct” Guwahati, September 5: An individual was removed from a flight bound for Kolkata at Silchar Airport due to disruptive behavior, as confirmed by P.K. Gorai, an official with the Airport Authority of India (AAI). The incident occurred on Tuesday when Sujit Das Choudhury, a passenger, was offloaded from an Alliance Air aircraft for failing to adhere to standard protocols regarding cellphone usage during take-off.

Choudhury Ignored Cellphone Instructions

Gorai reported that Choudhury was repeatedly urged by the flight crew to switch off his cellphone. However, he not only disregarded their requests but also engaged in a confrontation with the crew, allegedly displaying improper behavior. An unnamed officer was quoted as stating, “At one point, he began to threaten the air hostess, claiming he could purchase the flight and her services.”

Altercation Involving Co-Passengers

Several co-passengers accompanying Das Choudhury also became involved in the altercation with the cabin crew, causing a chaotic situation on board, even as the aircraft was in the process of accelerating for take-off.

Captain’s Intervention Leads to Offloading

Subsequently, the captain intervened and ordered Choudhury to be removed from the flight due to his unruly conduct. Approximately ten co-passengers who were part of a group traveling with Das Choudhury also chose to deplane in protest against the crew’s decision.

Flight Delayed by 29 Minutes

As a result of the incident, the flight experienced a delay of 29 minutes. The Alliance Air flight, initially scheduled to depart from Silchar to Kolkata at 2:20 p.m., eventually took off at 2:49 p.m.
