President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremasinghe has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ISRO, and the people of India on the success of Chandrayaan 3 as the Vikram Lander made a soft landing on Wednesday. Mr. Wickremasinghe said Sri Lanka is proud of this historic & momentous achievement & noted that the Indian Prime Minister’s generous gesture of dedicating this accomplishment to all of mankind will inspire generations to pursue the advancement of scientific & technological progress. In addition, Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena congratulated India for the success and added that this is a historic achievement not only for India but the entire world. Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa took the floor in the Parliament where he described the Chandrayaan’s timeline and went on to Congratulate India and the people of India for the success of the moon mission. Congratulatory messages have been shared by several other ministers and members of Parliament on the island through Social media.
