A landmark MoU has been signed between the Chartered Accountants bodies of India and Maldives yesterday.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Maldives, CA Maldives, signed the MoU during a South Asian Federation of Accountants Forum held in the Maldives.
The agreement strengthens ties between the two accounting institutes and promotes knowledge exchange. Both institutions have committed to enhancing accounting knowledge and professional development. President of ICAI, Aniket Sunil Talati, emphasised the aim of the MoU which would help provide technical support and resources to CA Maldives, aiding the growth of the accountancy profession in the Maldives.
Indian High Commissioner to Maldives Munu Mahawar underlined the strengthened bilateral relations between India and Maldives and said that the collaboration between the two accounting institutes further fortifies this relationship, benefiting the accounting community on both ends.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was established in 1949 and has a global presence with numerous branches and representative offices.
