Indian diaspora under the aegis of the Indian Citizen Association of Nepal celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India in Embassy of India premises. Indian citizens residing in Nepal gathered to celebrate national pride and independence from 200 years of British colonization.
In the event, Prassana Shrivastava, DCM of Embassy of India in Nepal emphasised that Independence Day is an occasion when every indian gets an opportunity to devote themselves for Nation building and development. PM Narendra Modi has targeted to make Bharat a developed Nation by 100th Independence Day, in which it is expected that Indian diaspora will play an important role.
Singer Hemant Brijwasi, Dada Saheb Phalke awardee of the year 2022 performed live singing patriotic songs. Students from Modern India School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and DAV school based in Nepal performed on stage to celebrate 77th Independence Day of India.
