Two persons apprehended in DU’s South campus incident

A senior police official announced on Monday that two individuals have been apprehended in relation to the case of a Delhi University student who was allegedly stabbed to death in South Campus.

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Rahul (19), a first-year student in the BA Programme. His father runs a bread cheese shop on rent in Bindapur, Delhi. The second person apprehended is Haroon (19), who is a friend of Rahul. Haroon dropped out of school and is currently employed in a private factory, as stated by the police.

Furthermore, the police have identified two additional individuals who are believed to be involved in the incident. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Previously, the police reported that a student from the School of Open Learning in Delhi University’s South Campus was allegedly stabbed to death during a confrontation. The victim, Nikhil Chauhan (19), was a first-year student pursuing a BA (H) in Political Science at the School of Open Learning. The accused, along with three associates, reportedly encountered Nikhil outside the college gate and allegedly stabbed him in the chest, according to a senior police official.
