Ankur Sharma lost his life due to an accident during a parachute jump training session at Agra

According to police sources, a Navy commando named Ankur Sharma, who hailed from Jammu and Kashmir, passed away after encountering an accident during parachute jump training at Agra Air Force Station in Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred in the Malpura area of Agra district on Thursday night.

The sources stated that Sharma had participated in the night training for parachute jumping and jumped from an altitude of approximately 8,000 feet after boarding the aircraft.

While he was initially descending safely, his parachute deviated two kilometers away from the intended dropping zone due to strong winds. Unfortunately, his parachute became entangled in a high-tension wire and caught fire, resulting in serious injuries to Sharma

He was immediately taken to the Military hospital by the army jawans, where he received treatment but, unfortunately, passed away. Malpura police have initiated the post mortem procedure, following which his remains will be sent to his family.
