According to the Health Ministry on Monday, India has reported 1,839 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The active caseload now stands at 25,178, which represents only 0.06 percent of total cases, as stated by the Health Ministry. The death toll has risen to 53,1692, with 11 new deaths reported in various parts of the country over the past 24 hours.
In the same period, 3,861 patients recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of people who have recuperated from the disease to 4.44 crore (4,44,10,738). The COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75 percent, while the fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.49 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 2.17 percent. The Ministry reported that 439 vaccine doses of COVID were administered during the last 24 hours under the nationwide vaccination drive.
According to the Ministry, approximately 220.66 crore total vaccine doses (95.21 crore second dose and 22.87 crore precaution dose) have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Meanwhile, Ministry data showed that 92.77 crore total tests have been conducted so far, with 73,760 tests performed in the last 24 hours.
