The coronation ceremony of King Charles III in London was attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, representing the Government of India, who also engaged with Indian students from several top universities in the UK.
According to a tweet by the MEA spokesperson, the Vice President encouraged the students to strive for excellence and acknowledged their role in enhancing bilateral relations.
In an earlier tweet, the Vice President expressed his happiness to attend the coronation ceremony and conveyed his warmest congratulations to the newly crowned King and Queen Camilla on behalf of the people of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the UK King on Twitter, expressing optimism that the India-UK relationship will strengthen further in the future. The MEA spokesperson described Vice President Dhankhar’s visit as a significant step in the India-Great Britain Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
