The topic is not who will be in front, the topic is that BJP; which is destroying the country should be removed says Akhilesh Yadav.
This came after SP chief Akhilesh Yadav met the West Bengal Chief Minister in Kolkata on Friday. He also said, “This position is big we all will sit together & discuss it later. We are aiming to get 80 on 80 in UP, we are with didi to defeat BJP” referring to the uniting between him and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee.

Akhilesh Yadav, President of the Samajwadi Party called on Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today in Kolkata in a seeming attempt at linking together to defeat the BJP.
Yadav had earlier said that SP would stand firmly with Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee to defeat the saffron camp. “In Bengal, we are with Mamata didi. Right now, our stand is we want to maintain equidistance from both the BJP and the Congress” he said while talking to reporters on the sidelines of his party’s workers’ meet.
Earlier while speaking at the workers’ meeting, the SP chief lauded Banerjee for defeating the BJP in the West Bengal Assembly election in 2021. “The Samajwadi Party is ready to sacrifice to protect our Constitution. If we can defeat the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP can be defeated across the country, ” he said.
Yadav blasted the BJP-led union government for allegedly selling out the country’s assets to foreign powers and private players. Yadav had lent his party’s support to the TMC during the 2021 West Bengal assembly poll, which was reciprocated by Banerjee when she campaigned for the former in Uttar Pradesh during the 2022 election in that state.
The Congress’s plan to put up a united fight with other Opposition parties against the BJP in 2024 seems to be falling through as both Mamata Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav have said that they would keep away from the Grand Old Party in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
