Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “clean chit” to China costing the nation’s territorial integrity says Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday pitched a fresh attack at the BJP-led government at the Centre over the Chinese issue and claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “clean chit” to China is costing the nation’s territorial integrity.
“Modi government’s continued denial of illegal occupation and construction of infrastructure by Chinese has ‘endangered’ our borders,” Kharge wrote in a tweet. Attacking the PM, the Congress chief said, “Your ‘clean chit’ to China is costing the nation’s territorial Integrity.”
Kharge further said that Modi must take the nation and parliament into confidence over this issue. The Congress has been demanding the government take concrete steps over alleged Chinese incursions in various border areas, including in the Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. The party had accused the government of running away from a debate on Chinese issues in the recently concluded Winter Session of the Parliament.
In 2020, the worst clash in decades on the disputed India-China Border brutally killed 20 Indian troops in Galwan Valley.
In fact, India is strengthening trade relations with China despite its aggressive stance and in 2020 materials and products worth 65 billion dollars came from China and in 2021 it increased to 95 billion dollars.
It is reported that in the last five years, 12 lakh traders have left the country.
Earlier, Army Chief General MM Naravane was quoted as saying by ANI in Ladakh, “Chinese have deployed in considerable numbers all across Eastern Ladakh and Northern front right up to our Eastern command. Definitely, there has been an increase in their deployment in the forward areas which remains a matter of concern for us.”
In fact, China renamed 15 places in India, Arunachal Pradesh. The Chinese make no bones to declare Arunachal Pradesh as their own stating Arunachal Pradesh as South Tibet.
