Accused WFI boss Brij owns helicopters, luxury vehicles, guns, 50 schools, colleges

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is in the midst of controversies these days after women wrestlers made allegations of sexual exploitation against him. He has been the President of the Wrestling Federation of India since 2011.

Brij Bhushan Singh is the owner of movable and immovable assets worth 40,185,787 crores, while his wife has movable and immovable assets worth 63,444,541 crores. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had told in the election affidavit that he has movable assets worth Rs 1,57,96,317, while his wife has movable assets worth Rs 2,54,44,541.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is from the Bharatiya Janata Party, an MP, and is 66, Top wrestling champions of India, including Bajrang Punia, Sakshee Mallikkh, Vinesh Phogat, sat in protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for the third straight day on Friday, accusing Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment and ‘dictatorship’.

However, Singh has vehemently denied all the accusations against him. of sexual harassment made against him by India’s top and decorated wrestlers.

No one believes him saying “there can’t be smoke without a fire” and a battle of words is being thrown at the BJP for still not dropping Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Questions are raised as to why he is not stepping down since the accusations:

Prashant Bhushan activist and top advocate of the Supreme Court said, “Top Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Anshu Malik & Bajrang Punia are among a group of sportspersons who have accused BJP MP, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh (Chair of WWF), of sexual harassment & physical abuse.  #BetiBachao from these predators.”

Swati Chaturvedi expressed, “It is a matter of national shame that BJP MP, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has still not been sacked even as Olympians sit-in protest in the bitter cold & make grave allegations of sexual harassment against him. Why is joke WCD minister Irani mum?”

Right-wing activist Anshul Saxena said:

Sexual harassment allegations against Wrestling Federation of India’s chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh:

1. Indian Olympic Association forms a 7-member committee, with Mary Kom & Yogeshwar Dutt, to probe allegations.

2. Sports Ministry has asked the WFI chief to resign within 24 hours.

The BJP is accused of being mum on this case:

Who is Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was born on January 8, 1957, in Vishvoharpur in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. Brijbhushan had become active in student politics since his college days. Singh started his political journey in the year 1987 by contesting the election of the Director of the Sugarcane Committee and has earned immense wealth, influence, and dominance since then.

Brijbhushan Sharan Singh was elected Member of Parliament for the sixth time. He owns about 54 schools spread across four districts of Devi Patan Mandal, Gonda, Balrampur, Bahraich, and Shravasti. Among these the Nandini Nagar Mahavidyalaya is in Nawabganj.

It also houses the Nandini Nagar Sports Stadium. The National Wrestling Championshipbparticipated by renowned wrestlers is organized here every year. Brijbhushan is also fond of weapons. As per reports, he has a pistol, a rifle, and a repeater, while his wife also has a rifle and a repeater in his name.
