Ashok Gehlot says govt implemented 86 percent of schemes promised

The Ashok Gehlot Government on Monday claimed to have implemented 86 percent of total 2,722 budgetary announcements.

This was with regard to public welfare schemes and projects in the current fiscal, saying that the remaining promises would also be taken up soon. This was said at the 2 day long Chief Minister’s ‘Chintan Shivir’ with his Ministers on Monday.

He tweeted, “A two-day Chintan Shivir being organized at OTS Jaipur has started from today, in the camp, our fellow ministers will brief about the progress of 4 years work of their departments, budget announcements, public manifesto, campaigns, implementation of innovations and other works.

In various sessions, along with the assessment of the current works, there will be a discussion about the proposed works for the future. Good governance is the mantra of our government and with the same commitment, we are conducting this Chintan Shivir for the government’s own performance.”

Cabinet Ministers, Pratap Singh Khachariwas and Mamta Bhupesh said in the press conference that 94 percent of finance approvals for these projects have been cleared by December 2022.

All Cabinet Ministers and Ministers of State attended the Chintan Shivir, chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Ministers of Education, Medical, Agriculture, and Animal Husbandry gave detailed presentations of their Departments and discussed the roadmap, said Khachariawas.

On the issue of examination paper leak, Khachariawas, who is the Food and Civil Supply Minister, said that a Bill to monitor the activities of all private educational institutions including coaching institutes, medical & engineering colleges and universities would be tabled in the upcoming Assembly session, which could help the authorities curb the incidents of paper leak menace, affecting the career of students in competitive examinations.

On a question related to the bulldozer culture in Uttar Pradesh, the Cabinet Minister said that Rajasthan became the first State to launch bulldozer action, after getting legal opinions from the experts, against the accused of the recent paper leak case. He said that the assets of the accused were seized besides a number of arrests in the cases.

Similarly, a Bill on the Right to Health, would be brought up in the next Assembly session beginning on January 23, he said.

In the health sector, the State has become a model in the country with the Chiranjeevi Health Schemes, covering 90 percent of population so far, said Bhupesh, who holds the woman and child development portfolios.

At the recent Jan Aakrosh Rath Yatra by BJP in the State, the Minister said, “it was their flop show, nothing else. The party has no vision, no issues but just to create confusion over the Congress Government’s 4 years in rule so far”.

“We are all standing with our leader Rahul Gandhi, we will strengthen the Congress party’s base, and lead in the State with the Gehlot Government’s multipurpose schemes and projects” said the Cabinet Ministers.

On Sachin Pilot’s Kisan Sammelan on Monday, Khachariawas said, “the Chintan Shivir is attended by all Cabinet and MoS and top bureaucrats. If Pilot is making any suggestions, we will give proper attention to it.”
