Six killed, 16 injured in Nigeria road accident

Six people were killed and 16 others injured in a road accident in Nigeria’s northeastern state of Bauchi, traffic police said.

A bus overturned due to a tire burst and lost its control on a road in the Ganjuwa local government area on Sunday, said Yusuf Abdullahi, sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Bauchi, at a press conference.

Abdullahi said six people lost their lives on the spot, and the injured had been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
