In another dreadful reminder of the gruesome Delhi murder case, a body of a girl cut in several pieces was recovered from a well.
While the news is buzzing about the Gruesome Delhi murder, another horrific murder was uncovered in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, police sources said.
They said that the incident in Ahrauli area came to be known in the morning when one of the villagers peeped inside a well in the Gauri ka Pura hamlet of Paschim Patti Village.
“The body was cut into several pieces before being thrown into the well. The girl seems to be in the age group of 20 to 22 years,” they said. Police sources said that the identity of the girl could not be ascertained after repeated efforts.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Anurag Arya also visited the spot. Station House Officer (SHO) Yogendra Bahadur Singh said that the incident seemed to be one or two days old. “The matter is being investigated,” he said. SP Arya said that several police teams have been constituted to probe the matter from all angles.
Forensic experts and a dog squad had also been called, he said adding, senior officers are also investigating the matter. After recovering the mutilated body other evidence is also being gathered from the spot, he said claiming that the case would be worked out very soon.
Some locals noticed the body in a well about 150 meters away from Pashchim ka Pura village on Tuesday morning when they alerted the police.
After getting information Ahraula cops reached the sport and reported the matter to the police.
During the initial investigation by police, only an undergarment was found on the body while legs and hangs were also floating near it inside the well. The severed head was missing.
Shock waves are going through the nation and people are visibly disturbed because crimes against women are uncontrolled.
