A partial solar eclipse is visible on October 25 in parts of Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East, and western Asia.

The event appears when the center of the Moon’s orbit passes almost directly between the Earth and the Sun. The eclipse will be visible in various parts of Europe, North-east Africa, and West Asia. The Indian cities that will experience the partial solar eclipse are New Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Ujjain, Varanasi, and Mathura. This Surya Grahan will last for an hour and it’s a partial solar eclipse.

The time of the eclipse is 04:29 pm
Maximum eclipse time is 05:30 pm
The eclipse would end at sunset at 05:43 pm
Partial eclipse duration is 01 Hour 14 mins 15secs

The day will occur on October 25, 2022. The phenomenon of the partial solar eclipse is quite relatable to a solar eclipse, which occurs when the moon passes through the sun and three of them align in a perfectly straight line.

An annular solar eclipse is called a partial eclipse. When this phenomenon takes place, the sun appears to have a dark shadow on only a small part of its surface.

But in solar eclipses, when the moon passes directly in front of the sun, partially or entirely blocking out its light. Solar eclipses are visible only in certain areas which can be dangerous to view with the naked eye.

In total, there have been four eclipses this year, out of which two lunar and two solar eclipses. As this year comes to an end, the second and last solar eclipse falls on October 25.

In view of a partial solar eclipse expected today, several temples – including Kedarnath and Badrinath – will remain closed
