India rebukes Pakistan’s foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari after Zardari alleged human rights violations in the valley.

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari drew a rebuke from India on Saturday for his comments on Jammu and Kashmir at a joint press conference with German counterpart Annalena Baerbock.

“When states do not recognize such dangers (of terrorism), either because of self-interest or indifference, they undermine the cause of peace, not promote it. They also do grave injustice to the victims of terrorism,” said Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in response to media queries.

India’s response came after Zardari raised the Kashmir issue and alleged human rights violation in the valley, during a joint press conference with his Germany’s Annalena Baerbock “All serious and conscientious members of the global community have a role and responsibility to call out international terrorism, especially of a cross-border nature,” he said. “The Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has borne the brunt of such a terrorist campaign for decades. This continues till now. Foreign nationals have been victims there, as also in other parts of India. The UN Security Council and FATF are still pursuing Pakistan-based terrorists involved in the horrific 26/11 attacks,” Bagchi said.
