IndiaOwaisi calls for peace and calm on Friday saying no slogans be raised

Asaduddin Owaisi calls for peace and calm on Friday in masjids saying that no slogan should be raised which can hurt communities.

Asaduddin Owaisi had demanded Raja Singh’s arrest saying protests in some parts of Hyderabad were a direct result of his hate speech.

Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted, “This situation is a direct result of Raja Singh’s hate speech. He must be sent to jail at the earliest. I also reiterate my appeal to maintain peace.  Hyderabad is our home, it should not fall prey to communalism.”

AIMIM President and Hyderabad parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi calls for peace and calm on Friday when Muslims congregate in large numbers in masjids. He says that no slogan should be raised which can hurt communities and that any untoward incident affects the poor the most.” Listen to his speech on Twitter.

Owaisi said the police picked up 90 people from the Shah Ali Banda area on Wednesday and on his word they were released.

Suspended Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh was on Thursday arrested again from his Hyderabad residence in connection with alleged derogatory remarks he made against Prophet Mohammed. He was arrested on Tuesday this week for the controversial remarks after huge protests took place condemning his statement. Singh was, however, granted bail hours after his arrest by a Hyderabad court, which accepted his lawyer’s argument that the police did not issue a notice under CrPC 41(A) to the accused before the arrest.

Raja Singh has now been booked under the Preventive Detention Act.  Meanwhile, in a new video that has now emerged, Singh attacked Telangana minister KT Rama Rao and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for allegedly vitiating the atmosphere of Telangana. He also hit at comedian Munawar Faruqui and alleged that KTR allowed him “to make jokes about our gods”.

Security forces remained on alert in parts of Hyderabad following protests against suspended BJP leader T Raja Singh’s alleged remarks against Prophet Muhammad in a video targeted at comedian Munawar Faruqui.

While police said the situation was peaceful and under control, even as some educational institutions remained closed fearing unrest.

Amid protests, Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali said the government would not compromise on law and order issues and tolerate those who try to hurt the sentiments of other religions and action will be taken as per law.

“There are several complaints across the state against Raja Singh that he made derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad. He was arrested on Tuesday,” Ali said in a statement on Wednesday. Appealing to people to maintain peace and calm, he further said no one should take the law into their hands.

The BJP unit is reacting to this arrest, indignant asking if Hyderabad does not also belong to Hindus and calling Raja Singh innocent.

On viewing Raja Singh’s videos, he is anything but innocent because not only is he provoking community riots, but also had the audacity to jeer at Bilkis Bano’s horrific gang rape of the 2002 Gujarat riots in a lude manner, and being a BJP MLA, he probably thought he would get away with that, but his arrest sent shock waves among some in the BJP cadre.

Hindutva supporters accuse BJP of “not backing Raja Singh,” who doesn’t get along with many Telangana BJP leaders and this reveals a rift within the Telangana BJP and also within the Hindutva Ecosystem.

CA Rajeev Gupta tweets “Innocent #RajaSingh has been arrested again from his Hyderabad residence, law and order  situation in Telangana has completely collapsed

Telangana Govt should be dismissed by the Government of India and the State should be handed over to Army for an indefinite period.
