Udaipur tailor’s murderer has links with Pak-based Dawat-e-Islami

PoliticsUdaipur tailor's murderer has links with Pak-based Dawat-e-Islami

On the Udaipur tailor’s shocking murder, one of the men Ghouse Mohammad has links with Pak-based Dawat-e-Islami.

Ghouse Mohammad visited Karachi in 2014, says the DGP and while NIA registers case under UAPA in Udaipur killing, says accused wanted to ‘strike terror among masses’.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday registered a case under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the “heinous murder” of a tailor in Rajasthan’s Udaipur by two people.

Two men, identified as Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad, cut off Tailor Kanhaiya Lal’s head with a cleaver at his shop in Udaipur on Tuesday and posted videos online boasting they are avenging an insult to Islam.

An initial investigation into the gruesome killing of a tailor in Udaipur revealed that one of the two prime accused had links with the Pakistan-based Dawat-e-Islami organization and had visited Karachi in 2014, said the Rajasthan Police chief M L Lather on Wednesday.
Three more people have been detained in connection with the killing so far, the DGP said at a press conference in Jaipur.

Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal was cremated, in the presence of a large number of people even as curfew remained clamped in parts of the city with tight security and heavy presence of police personnel deployed during the funeral procession to maintain law and order, officials said.

Journalist Pallavi Ghosh Accusing Congress of not protecting the tailor while Pawan Khera Confirmed He Wanted to Withdraw His Complaint

Congress leader Pawan Khera tweeted, “Here is the written application by #Kanhaiyalal seeking withdrawal of his complaint and asking the police not to act against the accused. Kindly share this with your reporter too. It is advisable to check facts before tweeting – in the interest of peace, if not truth. #Udaipur”

Pallavi Ghosh argued back, “I trust our reporter who is on ground with copies of the complaint – I trust the wife and family completely when they say the cops refused to listen – more than any any gfx -”

Kanhaiya Lal had made that drastic wrong decision to withdraw his complaint, but at the same time, it is reported that he was getting death threats.  Congress is saying that Pallavi, a journalist from CNN News 18 is spreading fake news that Rajasthan police didn’t provide security to Kanhiya Lal while the truth is that Kanhaiya himself withdrew his complaint and refused to take security.

Congress applauds Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for the police force’s superfast action in nabbing the criminals.

This is how @PoliceRajasthan caught the two murderers of the Hindu shopkeeper.  Superfast action by the Congress government in Rajasthan.  Thanks to
