The roads in Kupwara, north Kashmiri are so dilapidated that the residents in protest planted paddy to make the government ashamed!
For a long time, the people of the area are upset with the government’s indifference over the lack of better connectivity in the area.
Residents say that traveling in Kurpara has become a nightmare because the roads are broken down and pot-holed and have sometimes led to accidents and the condition is not getting any better despite many complaints.
Times are even harder during the monsoons. Roads such as Kupwara-Hyhama, Kupwara- Chowkibal, Lolab road, Main roads in Kupwara Headquarter, Kupwara-Bohipora, Kupwara-Srinagar Highway and other link roads in the main town Kupwara were in terrible condition amid an apathetic administration
Thus in sheer frustration, the residents of Kupwara #Kashmir planted paddy on the main road Regipora to protest against the dilapidated condition of the roads in the north Kashmir district!
Tahir Sayeed, a Student of Politics took up the issue and said, “I have taken up this issue with District administration Kupwara.”
