Russia is raining down some of the most savage barbarous weaponry; 115 Russian soldiers sacked for refusing to fight in the war.
The Russian army is intensifying their attack on areas in eastern Ukraine
Russian forces are intensifying their bombardment of areas in eastern Ukraine still under Ukrainian control. Ukrainian officials in the east confess their strongholds are outmanned and outgunned. Multiple officials said the US is preparing to offer advanced, long-range rocket systems that are now the top request from Ukrainian officials. A larger package of US military assistance could be announced as soon as next week, they said.
The Russian Army has been attacking the Azovstal metallurgical plant not only with aircraft and artillery but with tanks, blocking exits from underground bunkers where Ukrainian defenders are hiding. However, the Ukrainian military is carrying out successful counterattacks against the invaders and American volunteers have also joined the Ukrainians to fight the Russian.
The war is ferocious with thermite rockets raining down deadly fires that burn metals, thermite was used in World War II. Among the defenders of Mariupol, who are on the blocked Azovstal, there are more than 600 wounded, perhaps more.

Thermate is an improved version of thermite, the incendiary agent used in hand grenades during World War II. The thermate filler of the AN-M14 grenade burns for 40 seconds and can burn through a 1/2-inch homogeneous steel plate. It produces its own oxygen and will burn underwater. The National Guard unit in Donbas is helping the people with protective gear.
115 Russian national guard soldiers were sacked for refusing to fight in Ukraine
More than 100 Russian national guardsmen have been fired for refusing to fight in Ukraine, court documents show, in what looks to be the clearest indication yet of dissent among some parts of security forces over Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
The cases of the 115 national guardsmen, a force is also known as Rosgvardia, came to light on Wednesday, after a local Russian court rejected their collective lawsuit that challenged their earlier sacking.
According to the court’s decision, published on its website, the lawsuit was dismissed after the judge determined that the soldiers had been rightfully fired for “refusing to perform an official assignment” to fight in Ukraine and instead returned to a duty station.
According to the UN, there are 8,691 civilian casualties in Ukraine due to Putin’s war.
The Kyiv Independent media outlet writes, “The UN’s human rights agency said that as of May 25 Russia’s war on Ukraine has killed at least 3,998 civilians and wounded at least 4,693 since Feb. 24. The agency believes the actual figures are much higher.
The Kyiv Independent went on to say “Most of the recorded casualties were caused by explosive weapons with a wide impact area, including shelling from heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, the UN agency wrote in its report.
President Zelenskyy warns that the Donbas region could be uninhabitable and speaking during an address to the Ukrainian public, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian forces “want to burn the Donbas – to make it uninhabitable”. Russian troops are trying to take control of neighboring cities Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, the BBC reports.
Iran in the meantime is going to supply Russia with car parts, and fuel turbines amid the gas crisis in Ukraine.
