Here is the full video and what Rahul Gandhi really said and it is beautifully harmonized with the painful moments of losing his father. Watch it!

Srinivas BV:  “Shri Rahul Gandhi turns emotional during the Cambridge event while talking about his father’s death.  Forgiveness is a virtue that shows a leader’s inner strength.
@RahulGandhi  personifies that virtue.”

Priyamwada shared, “Thinking deeply.  Articulating perfectly.  Evolving through pain to give perspective.  A leader born out of the fire of sacrifice will always bring fear in the hearts of those who know nothing of it.”

The Trolls “Crop” the Video and Share It Misleadingly

A video of Rahul Gandhi, in which he was seen taking unusually long pauses in response to a question on violence and non-violence, was mocked by the BJP. Two days later, the Congress finally shared its views after Gandhi got trolled online expressing that not only was Rahul Gandhi emotional, but also, the video was cropped.

The Print columnist, Shruti Kapila, who was the interviewer, asked Rahul about his views on violence and non-violence in the context of Indian society. The exact question was “How do you envision the compact between violence and non-violence in Indian society”. What followed was a long pause by the senior Congress leader that left the trolls in splits.

Here is the video shared by a troll, without its fullness to mislead the public and maliciously cropped.

Here, they made it appear as if Rahul Gandhi was wondering what to answer as there was a pin drop silence inside the auditorium where he says, “I think… I mean the word that comes to mind is forgiveness. It seemed to the public with his long pause, he was finding it difficult to answer.  When Shruti said, “No one has asked you, I am surprised,” Rahul Gandhi responded, “No no… they have asked,” he replied, adding that “I am trying to go deeper in the answer” amid laughter from the audience.

While the video is shared which makes individuals laugh uproariously with the BJP IT cell mocking Rahul Gandhi’s long emotional silence when asked about violence, they perhaps failed to comprehend the emotions of people who have lost loved ones because of violence because the ones that do will never laugh emptily.
