65-year-old Bhanwarlal Jain was beaten to death, killer thinking he was a Muslim’ in Madhya Pradesh, but actually turned out to be a Hindu!
The horrific video of the crime doing rounds on social media shows a young man mercilessly thrashing an old man. He was attacked violently for not showing his Aadhaar card and in the video, Dinesh Kushwaha, the husband of Manasa, a former BJP councilor in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch, and is seen beating Bhanwarlal Jain ordering him to show his Aadhar card and asking whether he is a Muslim.
The video revealed a young man asking 65-year-old Jain, “Tera naam Mohammed hai?… Aadhaar card dikha” (Is your name Mohammed? Show me your Aadhaar card). He starts to brutally beat him and after being beaten, Bhanwarlal Jain later succumbed to his injuries.
Events Leading to His Death
Bhanwarlal Jain had gone to Chittorgarh on May 18 with his family from where he went missing, they said. On Friday, he was found dead in Manasa of Neemuch district. Later, the video of his thrashing went viral on social media
The deceased, who was later identified as Bhanwarlal Jain of Sarsi Vllage of Ratlam, was found dead in Manasa on Thursday, police said.
The Madhya Pradesh Police in Neemuch arrested Dinesh Kushwah on Saturday, 21 May, in connection with the incident in which a man with disabilities, identified as 65-year-old Bhanwarlal Jain, was allegedly beaten up due to communal hate.
The accused Kushwah had earlier absconded after police had called him for inquiry on Friday regarding the viral video.
The incident is said to have occurred within limits of the Manasa police station in Neemuch.

Following the incident, the Neemuch district police had registered a murder case on the complaint of Bhanwarlal Jain.

In fact, Dinesh Kushwaha, the husband of Manasa’s BJP corporator is seen beating the poor old man, who incidentally was a Hindu, but he thought was a Muslim.
