UP Yogi Adityanath instructs his ministers to declare their movable, immovable assets online to bring transparency to governance.

All ministers and public servants will have to announce their movable and immovable assets. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today announced a slew of measures to bring transparency and accountability to the functions of government.

This occurred after a high-level meeting where the Chief Minister said that the conduct of public representatives is very important for a healthy democracy.

According to this demand, all the Ministers should make a public declaration of all movable and immovable property of themselves and their family members within a period of the next three months after taking an oath. All public servants should also make a public declaration of all movable and immovable property of themselves and family members. These details should be made available on the online portal for the perusal of the general public.

The Chief Minister made it apparent that all Ministers should ensure that there is no interference by their family members in government work. Chief Minister has also directed all ministers to remain in the state capital Lucknow on Monday and Tuesday.

They also have to accomplish extensive tours and will do night stays at the districts they visit. Ministers and officers visiting other states and countries on official tours should present their experiences and learnings before the cabinet says the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi 

Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath (born Ajay Singh Bisht; on June 5, 1972) is an Indian Hindu monk and politician serving as the 23rd and current Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, he is in office since 19 March 2017.

He was appointed as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 26 March 2017 after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the 2017 State Assembly elections, in which he was a prominent campaigner.  He again won the 2022 State Assembly elections to be the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second time. He has also been the Member of Parliament from the Gorakhpur constituency, Uttar Pradesh, for five consecutive terms since 1998.

Yogi Adityanath is also the mahant or head priest of the Gorakhnath Math, a Hindu temple in Gorakhpur, a position he has held since the death of his spiritual “father”, Mahant Avaidyanath, in September 2014.  He is also the founder of Hindu Yuva Vahini, a Hindu nationalist organization. He is a known Hindutva nationalist and a right-wing populist.
