Canadian Leader Jagmeet Singh says to the Modi government to stop stoking anti-Muslim sentiment days after the Ram Navami riots.
Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party on Thursday, 14 April, expressed his concern about the rising threat of violence against Muslims in India including the violence in the Ram Navami riots where Muslim settlements were burned down.
His tweet comes days after violence erupted in several Indian cities and towns during Ram Navami celebrations that turned into fiery fights between the two communities spiraling into rioting and arson.
I am deeply concerned about images, videos, and targeted threats of violence against the Muslim community in India.
The Modi govt must stop stoking anti-Muslim sentiment.
Human rights must be protected.
Canada must play a strong role in working towards peace everywhere.

AAJ Tak Claims that Another Group was Throwing Stones to provoke the Riots
Every year, the Ram Navami processions move peacefully through Muslim localities, but why was this year different. Apparently, the riots were planned and another group was arranged to slip into the procession and throw stones at the Ram Navami worshippers, probably set up to cause fights between Hindus and Muslims and also blame the Muslims for being violent. See this video with the documentary made by Live TV.
Riots Across India in 2022 During Ram Navami
Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh witnessed communal clashes on the occasion of Ram Navami on Sunday after tensions persisted in Mulbagal in Karnataka’s Kolar district after miscreants pelted stones at a Sri Rama Shobha Yatra on Friday night and a week after communal clashes in Karauli, Rajasthan, on 2 April. Stones were pelted at a ‘shobha yatra’ which was taken out to mark Nav Samvatsar. Curfew was clamped in Khargone, a city in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. on Monday.
While the riots over different states have caused the Modi government to work on banning the Popular Front of India, an extremist Islamic organization, it was Muslims who were heavily targeted during Ram Navami and they did react by pelting stones while the Hindutva groups were brandishing swords. While the Hindutva brigades justify themselves by carrying swords, the incendiary chants against Muslims while brandishing swords were done to instigate Muslims to react, which some of them did, leading to the battle. The Hindutva mobs also went before the mosques chanting, which again sent out provocative messages.
Here are a few of the attacks on Muslims in different parts of India, their houses, shops, and properties were burnt to cinders. Some Muslims reacted to the provocatory chants by pelting stones in a reaction as the Hindutva mobs went through their areas, but in retaliation, the Hindutva mobs burned down many homes, properties, and shops of Muslims, and the riots were framed to be set up from the Popular Front of India, an extremist Islamic organization in India. The roles of the Hindutva groups involved in the rioting have been white-washed even from television sets in India.
Madhya Pradesh: There is chaos where the Hindutva burnt down ten houses and attacked mosques. There were more than two dozen people, including Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Choudhary, injured in clashes that erupted during the Ram Navami procession in various areas of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, forcing the administration to impose a curfew in some pockets of the city.

They did not spare an old Muslim woman and stole all her jewelry that she saved for her daughter’s wedding and then burnt down her house.
This house belongs to an old widow, Muslim, of course. She lives all by herself & her 4 daughters. Makes living by weaving flowers to make garlands. He house was first looted – jewellery she saved for her daughter's marriage and everything – and then the house was set on fire pic.twitter.com/0JvzAEaQga

Ram Navami in 1979, a massacre that killed 180 found RSS responsible for provoking the riots
1979 Jamshedpur riots were the first huge riot on the occasion of Ram Navami, in which 180 people were declared to have died. The government-appointed commission of inquiry, the Jitendra Narain Commission, found the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh responsible for having created the climate to engineer the massacre.
