Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Monday afternoon reached the Enforcement Directorate office at the Jamnagar House after being summoned.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went to the ED after being called over in connection with hoarded money as revealed by the Panama Papers. ED officials questioned the actor, who was issued a notice to join the probe. The sources said that earlier she had sought time on two occasions to join the investigation.
Sources reveal that the actor had filed a plea for an adjournment before the multi-agency special investigation team. The Panama Papers are 11.5 million leaked documents that were published in 2016 detailing financial and attorney-client information for 214,488 offshore entities. The Bachchan family has been issued notices to explain their involvement in foreign remittances since 2004.
