IndiaOwaisi answers Shweta Singh on why "Every child is born a Muslim"

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi was asked during an interview, ‘What does it mean that every child is born a Muslim?’

In an interview going viral, senior journalist Shweta Singh asks AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, ‘What do you mean by saying that every child is born a Muslim?’ Owaisi responded, ‘I said this because it is the religious belief of Muslims that we do not force anyone. I have said this time and again in my speeches and will continue to say this in the future also. If you read Article 15, it gives me the freedom to follow my religious beliefs, then where has it gone wrong and out of the Constitution.

Asaduddin Owaisi says, ‘Praveen Togadia’s ideology is completely different from mine. My brother even went to jail for giving such speeches. I can’t sit here and decide whether my brother had said right or wrong. Cases were registered against Togadia in many states, but was he arrested in any case? I tell everyone to accept Islam, but I will never force you. But I will do all this work within the ambit of the law.

Why did Yogi not wear a Muslim cap? In another interview, Owaisi was asked , ‘Yogi Adityanath recently refused to wear a Muslim cap. Now because he is a yogi, should he wear that Muslim cap?’ In response, he had said, ‘If I had been present there, I would never have given Yogi Adityanath to wear a Muslim cap. I would tell him to call Kasim and hug him. There are continuous atrocities against Muslims in the entire state, please stop them. Because for 70 years you have been making us wear hats.

Owaisi has been in controversies and news due to his politics primarily centered around minorities like Muslims and Dalits.
