Four killed and several injured as an SUV deliberately mows down a religious procession in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district on Friday.
A video captures the horrific moment in the incident that took place at Pathalgaon in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur and as per the media report, four have been killed and others are said to be critical.

In the shocking incident, a speeding SUV ran over people where at least four people died on the spot while, 20 others were injured. The accident happened when people were going in a procession for Durga Visarjan.
After the incident, the angry mob has set the car on fire. According to the information, this car was filled with ganja. Ruling out any communal angle to the crime, the killers are said to be Hindus, and were from Madhya Pradesh carrying drugs in their car.
According to the report, the incident happened at Pathalgaon in Jashpur around 1.30 PM on Friday. At the time of the incident, the people were taking the idols of 7 Durga pandals to the river bank for immersion. The accident happened when the car crushed the people involved in the procession.
The Chattisgarh police arrested the driver and fellow travelers immediately and an investigation is on.
