Actor Arvind Trivedi who played the character of Ravan in Ramayan passes away in Mumbai on Tuesday, October 6th at the age of 82.
His passing was reported on Wednesday. Arvind Trivedi was not keeping well for the past few months and suffered a massive heart attack.
His cremation will take place at Dahanukarwadi crematorium, Kandivali West, in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Actor Sunil Lahiri who played the character of Laxman shared a photograph with the actor and on the platform of Instagram expressed his condolences by saying, “It’s very sad that Arvind bhai is no more, may his soul rest in peace, he was like a father figure for me”.
The actor rose to fame through the television serial Ramayan which was broadcast on Doordarshan in the 1980s and was directed by veteran director Ramanand Sagar. His widespread popularity through his role as Ravan in the Ramayan serials led to Trivedi being elected member of parliament on a BJP ticket along with co-star Deepika Chikhlia who played Sita in the same serial, from 91 to 96 from Sabarkatha constituency.
