Urdu poet Munawwar Rana asks “Will Asaduddin Owaisi marry his girl to my boy” during a live interview in response to the anchor’s question.
The anchor had asked whether there were no Hindu-Muslim riots in this country before 2014 and questioned why do you feel that everything is going wrong with Muslims in this country right now?
Poet Munawwar Rana, on discussing the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, showed his dissatisfaction with the Yogi government and he blamed the BJP governing for the increased atrocities on Muslims in the government.
He also referred to many cases of violence against a particular religious community, he said that I cannot praise Yogi Adityanath by watching such videos. In response to a question, he started asking the anchor whether Asaduddin Owaisi will marry his girl to my boy.
Munawwar Rana said in response to this question that I was giving an interview to a TV channel on the issue of Taliban, and at that time visuals were displayed showing an incident in Kanpur Uttar Pradesh where a girl is clinging to her father but people are killing her father. He said that Allah has given eyes to all, everyone must have seen. If you don’t have eyes, you have glasses nowadays… Everyone will be watching.
Munawwar Rana further said that you now say that after seeing such a picture, you should praise the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.. then how can I? The anchor reacting to what he said asked whether there were no Hindu-Muslim riots in this country before 2014? Why do you feel that at this time everything is going wrong with Muslims in this country and everything is going well with everyone?
Munawwar Rana retaliated that it means that your eyes are weak. On which anchor my eyes are not weak but your memory is weak. After which he was asked a question on Kashmiri Pandits, to which he responded by saying that Muslims do not have much relation with Kashmiri Pandits as little as they do with the Taliban of Afghanistan.
