Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said the lockdown has been extended till May 17. Under the added guidelines there will be a ban on the gathering of more than 11 people and only 11 people allowed to attend weddings and funerals.

Chandigarh: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that lockdown in the state has been extended till May 17 and now not more than 11 persons can attend any public or family event.

On extending the lockdown period, Mr. Vij said that a few rules have been added to the guidelines imposed earlier during the first lockdown.

Under this, there will be a ban on the gathering of more than 11 persons at one place.

And only 11 people allowed to attend weddings and funerals. Besides this, no procession and wedding baraat can be taken out.

Minister Anil Vij said that COVID patients of BPL families are being given Rs 5,000 directly to their account during home isolation.

During the lockdown, these BPL families are not able to work and due to COVID these families will also be in home isolation.

Thus, to ensure that these families do not face any financial problems it has been announced to give them Rs 5,000.

He informed that Chandigarh Administrator V P Badnore had expressed gratitude to the Haryana Government for giving 3 MT oxygen to Chandigarh PGI for which he said that the pandemic situation is to be fought together.

Anil Vij said that a large number of Delhi patients are undergoing treatment in the state of Haryana.

Every patient is being given treatment impartially. The state has also recruited doctors, nurses, or other Corona warriors for treating patients.

He said that they were doing good work and it should be brought to the notice of society. He elaborated that the Corona warriors also have families and are working very responsibly at the moment.
