Jammu and Kashmir the highest COVID spikes over 3000 recorded COVID cases in a day. Hospitals are crowding up and in the midst of the oxygen crisis, NGOs are providing O2 cylinders. There is a 700% rise in COVID-19 cases, with 199 COVID-related deaths in Jammu and Kashmir in April alone, which is alarming.
Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar endocrinologist in Srinagar on discussing the vaccine urged everyone to take the vaccine to build up herd immunity and prevent the pandemic from spreading. Doctors are verifying that the vaccines are safe for everyone. People will never get COVID from the vaccine even if they might develop Corona after the vaccine, it will not be fatal and still help to build up immunity.
Dr. Zargar also said that many mutants are identified, and the present vaccines in India have 70 to approximately 95 percent efficacy, with vaccines having the strength to impact many of these new mutants. He mentioned that the Pfizer vaccine, AstraZeneca, and combination of vaccines would help the majority of COVID 19 variants, so his suggestion is to get as many people vaccinated as soon as possible.
Omar Abdullah former chief minister of Kashmir took to Twitter to amplify COVID patients’ SOS messages.
Omar Abdullah, who tested positive for COVID days after taking the first vaccine dose, said he could understand the feelings of those who have their loved ones hospitalized due to the infection.

“I want to be able to help people through this crisis as best I can because I know what’s it like to have a loved one in hospital fighting against COVID. To that end I’ve opened up my DMs for now & will amplify every message requesting/offering help,” Omar Abdullah said before re-tweeting and re-posting SOS messages from across the country.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19:
Get vaccinated as soon as possible
Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Stay home if you feel unwell.
If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.
Calling in advance allows your healthcare provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This protects you, and prevents the spread of viruses and other infections.
Masks
Masks can help prevent the spread of the virus from the person wearing the mask to others. Masks alone do not protect against COVID-19, and should be combined with physical distancing and hand hygiene. Follow the advice provided by your local health authority.
Natural Immunity Boosters:
Tumeric warm/hot water and turmeric milk (Haldi).
Ginger drinks, either in the form of tea or in other ways.
Garlic in raw form sprinkle on food, (garlic is a powerful antiviral booster)
A small tip, put a little hand sanitizer on your mask as well each time you go out. Just a little, it will evaporate but will work!
But most of all, stay home and stay safe.
