There is a heavy snow overload on Mughal Road blocking it and an intense clearance operation has been launched by the local authorities to clear up the highway, using heavy machinery excavators such as JCB (Joseph Cyril Bamford excavators).
Mughal Road is the road between Bufliaz, a town in the Poonch district, to the Shopian district, in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. … The road connects Poonch and Rajouri to Srinagar in the Kashmir Valley and reduces the distance between Shopian and Poonch from 588 km to 126 km.
Such snow blockades are quite common on this road during the winter-spring season.
