The CISF saved a passenger’s life who was unconscious and not breathing properly by giving CPR at Barakhamba Metro station.

New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Sunday saved a passenger’s life by timely giving Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at Barakhamba Metro station here.

According to CISF, around 2017 hrs on February 21, CISF CCTV observer noticed a male passenger that he was feeling unwell and lying unconscious at Platform No.1 of Barakhamba metro station.

Immediately, he informed the matter to his seniors and himself rushed to the spot and found that the passenger was unconscious and not breathing properly, so he immediately started giving CPR to the passenger by observing Standard Operative Procedure.

Soon the said passenger regained consciousness and revealed his identity as Mr. Rohit, a resident of Kalyanpuri here.

The CISF and Delhi Metro personnel asked him to go to the hospital and called an ambulance but the passenger said that he was feeling good, therefore, did not need further medical assistance and went back with his relatives. He also thanks CISF personnel for saving his life.
