Actor, Sandeep Nahar takes his own life hours after Facebook watchers see long suicide note and video

Arts & EntertainmentActor, Sandeep Nahar takes his own life hours after Facebook watchers see long suicide note and video

Last night, Sushant Singh Rajput’s MS Dhoni co-actor Sandeep Nahar actor died by suicide a few hours after Facebook watchers read his long suicide note and watch his video.

In his long emotional note on Facebook, he wrote, “I don’t wish to live anymore. I have seen a lot of ups and downs in my life, faced them all, however, I can’t bear this trauma. I know committing suicide is an act of cowardice but there is no point in living a life where there is no self-respect and peace. My wife Kanchan Sharma and her mother Vinu Sharma never understood me nor they tried to understand that my wife has a hyper nature. Her personality is different from mine. I can’t take it anymore!”

He also mentioned, “Whatever it would be after death, it’ll be better than this life.”

As reported by HT, he was undergoing professional difficulties as well as a  stressful marriage.  It is notable that on his last video on Facebook he urged all not to blame his wife for his suicide, even though he mentioned her and her mother.

His wife, Kanchan Sharma, told police that she along with two others discovered his body, hanging.  Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Thakur said. “The body has been sent for postmortem and the exact cause of his death can be ascertained after that.”

According to an update, the Mumbai police have lodged a case and the incident is currently under investigation. The police are awaiting the post-mortem report.

It leaves a question dangling as to do people need to be more proactive on Social Media posts on life-threatening situations:  Much talk was made after Sushant Singh’s alleged suicide, but there is really no system to call helplines  No one knows where to call, and 100, and 101 doesn’t seem to work. Is it time India has a 911 helpline for all emergencies that really work? Even if a stranger calls for a suicidal person, that helpline would reach out immediately.

Presently, there are a number of suicide helplines, but no one knows where to call in emergencies, here is one of them, 91 98204 66726, based in Mumbai. It is a number that no one will remember in the heat of the moment.

However, we need one helpline for any kind of help.  Is it time India has a 911 helpline for all emergencies that really work? Even if a stranger calls for a suicidal person, that helpline would reach out immediately We need to change our systems!

A touching video of a scene from the movie
