Muradabad: At least 10 passengers were killed and more than 11 others were seriously injured in a horrific collision between a canter and a bus in the dense fog on Saturday in Uttar Pradesh’s Muradabad district.
Police sources said that the accident took place at around 8 am on Muradabad-Agra Highway near Hussainpur Palia Nanpur in Bilari Circle when a canter collided with it while trying to overtake a private bus full of passengers.
The collision was so severe that the driver’s side of the bus was completely destroyed. It is said that along with the collision of these two vehicles, a 10-wheeler truck was also hit by these vehicles.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident. It has been directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the injured in the road accident, while the families of the deceased have been directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each as well as proper treatment to the injured.
District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh confirmed that 10 people were killed and 11 injured in the road accident on Saturday.
