Riyadh: Madina of Saudi Arabia, the holiest city in the world for Muslims, has been declared one of the healthiest cities in the world by the World Health Organization (WHO).
A team from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited Medina and inspected all health-related facilities, declaring that Medina meets the international standards set for a healthy city.
Medina has a population of over 20 lakhs. The World Health Organization has also issued a certificate in this regard.
Saudi Arabia’s Health Minister handed over the certificate of a healthy city, issued by the World Health Organization to Medina, to Prince Faisal bin Salman, the Governor of Medina.
