Newly elected US President Joe Bagan said, ‘I hope there will be scientific progress in renewable energy and cancer research’

Washington: Newly elected US President Joe Biden has said that his office will serve in a scientific manner. Mr. Biden said on Saturday, ‘My tenure will work in a scientific way. I hope there will be scientific progress in renewable energy and cancer research institutes.’

He also expressed concern about the coronavirus (covid-19) epidemic. Earlier on Friday, Biden named geneticist Eric Lander as White House director of science and technology policy. He also praised Mr. Lander for his scientific work.

Biden has also spoken of an ‘American Rescue Plan’ in which $ 20 billion will be spent on the National Vaccination Program and $ 50 billion on Coronavirus Testing.

Biden stated, ‘It is not difficult to understand that we are facing an economic crisis that occurs once in many generations, in the midst of a health crisis that occurs once in many generations. People in pain before our eyes and now is not the time to wait.’ Biden says that economists are also saying that measures have to be taken now.
