Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel administered the oath to Chief Justice of the State High Court Muhammad Rafique in a dignified ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.

Bhopal: Justice Mohammad Rafiq was on Sunday administered the oath by Governor Anandiben Patelas the 26th Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel administered the oath to Chief Justice of the State High Court Muhammad Rafique in a dignified ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.

According to official sources, besides Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, senior ministers, prominent judicial personalities and senior administration officials were also be present at the swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

It is noteworthy that Shri Muhammad Rafique was the Chief Justice of Odisha High Court till yesterday. At present, he has been transferred as the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh.

Justice Rafiq was serving as Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court before he was transferred to Madhya Pradesh on a similar position on December 31 last year.
