Two Lashkar terrorists were arrested following a clash between security forces and terrorists in Kashmir’s Kulgam district
Srinagar: Two terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba were arrested after a brief clash between security forces and terrorists in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday morning.
Police sources said that after receiving information about the hiding of the “militants”, a joint team of 34 RR, CRPF and police of the army conducted a search operation in Tongdaunu area of Kulgam district on Tuesday morning. As soon as the search operation team reached the suspected spot, the terrorists hiding there opened fire, causing a clash between the two sides.
Sources said the two militants surrendered after an appeal to the family, who were called to the spot. According to the sources, the surrendered terrorist was from a terrorist organization called Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police of Kashmir Police Zone Vijay Kumar confirmed that two militants surrendered after some brief firing in Kulgam and both were involved in the killing of PDP leader Haji Parvez Ahmed’s bodyguard.
