Patna: Many activists were injured in the police lathi-charge on the supporters of Jan-adhikar Party, who took out a procession ‘Justice for farmers march’ in support of farmers’ agitation.

A large number of activists led by JAP chief and former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav marched from a hill on the bypass in the capital Patna in support of the farmers’ movement.

As the march progressed, the police tried to stop it, but the activists were moving towards the Governor’s House. Despite the persuasion of senior police and general administration officials, when activists did not comply, they first used water cans, which then led to a sort of stampede.

In the midst of all this, Mr. Yadav laid on the road. Meanwhile, the activists became furious, forcing the police to charge with sticks. Some workers were also injured in the incident.
