IndiaFarmers' organizations begin high-level meeting with government

All the farmer organizations invited to the previous meeting have been invited to this meeting. Farmer leaders were brought to the meeting site in two buses under police protection.

New Delhi: High-level negotiations with the government of 32 members of the farmers’ organization, which are protesting against the farm laws in Delhi, started on the borders of Delhi.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the farmers’ leaders of Punjab and appealed not to include Mr. Yogendra Yadav in this meeting. On this, the farmers’ organizations decided to boycott the talks but when Mr. Yadav came to know about this, he himself refused to attend the meeting.

Before joining the meeting, it was said from the United Kisan Morcha that talks with the government will be possible only when Mr. Yogendra Yadav, Hannan Molla, Shiv Kumar Kakaji, and Gurnam Singh Chaduni will be allowed to join the meeting.

Mr. Yadav said that talks are important, so it is not right for him to stop the meeting. He asked the farmers’ leaders to take their decision without thinking about them.

It is to be noted that late last night, Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar had invited farmers’ organizations to hold talks at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi at 3 pm on December 1.

In this meeting, an invitation has been extended to all the organizations that were called in the last meeting. Farmer leaders were brought to the meeting site in two buses under police protection.
